  1. Good notes provide for the good grades. The connection between these two is obvious. Make sure your teacher allows you to record the lecture and go ahead with your prep routine. If you feel like you are better at writing them down, buy a notebook that is a planner at the same time, carry it around and revise the notes whenever you have a free minute.
  2. Continue by blocking out time chunks of time from your schedule. Use the same notebooks to organize your learning process. Write down the dates, the sources and the thoughts you might use in the future. Buy sticky cards and flashy markers to highlight exam dates. You may also want to keep your assignments if you are not using coursework writing services.
  3. The next one is tricky. We all use our computers to do homework. However, you should limit your distraction time till minimum while studying. Set yourself a goal and a reward. For example, you can have a 20-minute break if you are not checking on your e-mail for another half an hour. You can also set boundaries on using social networks in class, because it is hard to pay attention while you are reading.
  4. Procrastination is tempting. If you don’t feel the urge to study now, you can do it later, or before an exam. However, good habits come from bracing yourself. Resist the temptation to cram for finals and devote an hour of your time to revising. It is better to do it in the morning, when you had enough sleep and feel refreshed, but for some students it is possible to make an exception due to their biorhythm.
  5. Avoid studying too much. Yes, there is another side to the educational medal. If you are preparing for a test and feel squeezed like a lemon, it means you have to stop. Sometimes, you absorb unnecessary information just because you think it’s important. Try asking your teacher about the priorities. Shell out the most essential data and stick to it during the prep. There is no need to dig through the piles of homework to get what you need.
  6. Try alternating places for study. Some people love a buzz around them so they choose to prepare in a coffee shop. Others require silence to complete the task and don’t like the noise. You have to find your corner to reveal your full potential and avoid distractions. Then, take a break after an hour of studying. If you are outside, watch the people. If you are at home, listen to some music. You don’t have to feel stressed all the time. To improve performance during an exam, we would not recommend energy drinks, as their effect is detrimental and very short-lasting. Instead, have some tea and distance yourself from empty talks that distract you from the test.
